Frost dps!

Well i haven't had a post in a while, been pretty busy with school(it's actually kicking my ass).

Anyway I have been tooling around with a frost spec on my mage lately, my husband help me build the most epic frost spec ever! I am sure there is one out there like this one but it's pretty awesome either way.

Ive been testing it out a lot more lately for pve content and its working out great, I am able to do almost 5-6k dps as FROST which was really surprising to me. Also there is a new glyph out for mage's that let's you make your water elemental a perm pet and that is pretty sweet. anyway the spec that we came up with is 29/0/42 Arcane/frost. The amusing thing about this spec is all i do is spam frostbolt and it crits like a truck almost, that's all i do; frostbolt. I throw on Ice barrier and start spamming frostbolt for single target dps(along with putting the elemental on defensive) Of course you have to have pretty decent gear to make this spec work(practically tier 9 or equivalent) and lots and lots of haste. I use the Elixir lightning speed and i eat haste food as well and have black magic on my weapon which when it procs gives me more haste and that equals to more dps.

the sad thing about this spec is that i am actually doing more dps then i did with Arcane, and with arcane i was doing Arcane blast till Arcane Barrage would proc then i would throw out Arcane missiles and then start up the arcane spam again.

Either way I still need to test this frost spec out in a raid such as Ulduar or ToC at least, sometime this week I am going to post a WWS of this frost spec and then another one of my arcane spec and compare the two and see the damage difference. It would be interesting to see frost out dps arcane considering frost has never really been the proper way to raid as a mage. So far as ive mentioned above I am doing a bit more damage as frost then arcane so it is possible. :)
